Sunday thoughts… June 1st., 2014

Sometimes, you stumble upon just the words you need to hear and words you need to share.  For this week’s Poetry Friday, Kara shared this on her wonderful blog, Rogue Anthropologist:

This piece is actually from a book of essays, Standing by Words, by Wendell Berry. I haven’t read it in context, so I’m not sure if it’s “really” a poem, but I’ve heard it recited as such.

It may be that when we no longer know what to do
we have come to our real work,

and that when we no longer know which way to go
we have come to our real journey.

The mind that is not baffled is not employed.

The impeded stream is the one that sings.
